Tears of tyrants are electric and bittersweet, as is this Pinot Grigio. The nose smells of crisp Granny Smith apple, lemon peel and wet stone. On the palate, the apple turns into a more sturdy asian pear and the lemon peel becomes a firmer, more-resolved citrus fruit but remains clean and steady with the bright acidity held in place by a soft almond skin tannin.
